Morpheus8 is a microneedling radiofrequency combination therapy that stimulates blood flow and collagen production within the dermis of the skin. This allows the skin to appear more youthful by reducing wrinkles and other skin imperfections. Morpheus 8 uses radiofrequency which allows us to treat deeper layers of the skin thus allowing more enhanced results from a minimally invasive treatment. Patients tolerate the procedure well with minimal down time. Patients can start wearing makeup 24-48 hours after the treatment.
Since Morpheus8 uses radiofrequency with microneedles, it allows us to treat multiple different skin tones including darker skin tones. This allows the Morpheus treatment to be versatile and help you get a more youthful looking you.
The most common treatment areas are the face and neck however, any areas of skin that have acne scars, stretch marks, discoloration and wrinkles can benefit from a Morpheus8 treatment.
Most patients find the procedure very tolerable. Prior to starting, a numbing cream is placed on the treatment area for 15-20 minutes prior to treatment.
What are the Morpheus8 Microneedling Radiofrequency Combination Therapy Options?
Morpheus8 can be used in combination with other treatments. We can use Morpheus8 with FormaV in the vaginal area to help plump the vulva. Morpheus8 can also be used 1 month after Botox to further help decrease wrinkles as well as decrease sun spots. Morpheus8 can be added to PRP micro needling thus further enhancing a more youthful you.
Morpheus 8 works by creating microabrasions in the dermis layer of the skin which heal within 1-2 days after treatment. During this time, no makeup can be worn and a thin layer of Aquaphor should be applied. It is very important that after treatment, patients protect their skin from the sun and wear sunscreen daily. This will help prevent further sun damage and help slow the aging process.
On average a total of 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart are needed to reach maximum results. Then patients on average need retreatments every 6 months to once a year thereafter in order to maintain their results.
On average each treatment takes 1 hour. Each patient has an individualized treatment plan that fits their needs.
You will need to hold off on applying makeup for 24-48 hours after treatment. You will need to apply Aquaphor for 24 hours after the treatment.
Results
Morpheus8 results can be seen in just a few days after treatment, however most patients see noticeable results after 3 weeks.
Side Effects/Complications
Patient’s may notice slight redness in the treated area for about 1 week after the treatment. Patient must follow post procedure instructions in order to maximally benefit from the treatment.
